Speed Estimation using RF signatures
نویسندگان
چکیده
Speed estimation algorithm based on the relative RF estimates at the antennae of a self contained MIMO device is discussed. The algorithm gives average error of 5% for both high and low variable speeds. The scheme does not require a priori information about the wireless channel, so no large databases are needed. Its computational complexity is relatively low and techniques for increasing the performance can be found.

متن کاملOn modeling the tissue response from ultrasonic B-scan images
The authors model tissue as a collection of point scatterers embedded in a uniform media, and show that the higher-order statistics (HOS) of the scatterer spacing distribution can be estimated from digitized radio frequency (RF) scan line segments and be used in obtaining tissue signatures. The authors assume that RF echoes are non-Gaussian, on the grounds of empirical/theoretical justification...
متن کاملNovel SNC-NN-MRAS Based Speed Estimator for Sensor-Less Vector Controlled IM Drives
Rotor Flux based Model Reference Adaptive System (RF-MRAS) is the most popularly used conventional speed estimation scheme for sensor-less IM drives. In this scheme, the voltage model equations are used for the reference model. This encounters major drawbacks at low frequencies/speed which leads to the poor performance of RF-MRAS. Replacing the reference model using Neural Network (NN) based fl...

متن کاملVirtual Dimensionality Estimation in Hyperspectral Imagery Based on Unsupervised Feature Selection
Virtual Dimensionality (VD) is a concept developed to estimate the number of distinct spectral signatures in hyperspectral imagery. Intuitively, detecting the number of spectrally distinct signatures depends on determining the number of distinct bands of the data. Considering this idea, the current paper aims at estimating the VD based on finding independent bands in the image partition space. ...
